- Abstract:
- Location: Between the Grand Hotel and the old Post Office Building. In the background is the Waterfront,with Hassel Island in the rear. The foreground shows the garden in front of Hotel 1829, on Government House Hill. This crossroad of Norre Gade and Tolbod Gade, intersects with Emancipation Garden Gade, and is the review point for all parades including Carnival. The balcony of the Grand Hotel, is still used to braodcast the parades The Model T Fords in the center of the photo were typical of that time.
