About dLOC Photographs Collection
The Libraries' photograph collections illustrate important events and personalities in the Virgin Islands' social life and history. Photographs donated by the late Gerald Guirty represent a significant portion of the collection. The majority of images range from early 1900's to 1940's.
This collection was contributed to the multi-institutional collaborative Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC) project by the University of the Virgin Islands. Visit the dLOC to view materials submitted by over a hundred partner institutions.
