- Abstract:
- Governor Ralph M. Paiewonsky presenting a framed print of Fort Christian or "Christian's Fort," to the visiting Danish Ambassador. The fort was the first modern stone building constructed by the Danes. It has served as a residence, a court and a prison, over the years. The red wooden kiosk, served the sentinel against harsh winds and rain. The iron cast street lamp sports a Danish Crown at its base.
